About the treatment

The duration of the treatment is short. This is a relatively comfortable treatment, and free, in most cases, of pain. The injectable local anesthetic is placed in two points bilaterally at the lateral level of the chin, at the entrance of the cannula.

By using the cannula, we ensure that you feel comfortable during the procedure, the pain intensity is minimal, as is the risk of complications.

The hyaluronic acid injected in this area is placed deep, at the level of the periosteum, thus ensuring a result as natural as possible by dividing it.

The product placement technique is different depending on gender, aesthetically, women have a smaller chin that outlines the female V, and men a wider one, that continues the mandibular line, their previous profile being more rectangular.

Over time, by integrating it into the treated area, fibroblasts are stimulated to produce neocollagen, the result being perceptible for a long time.

The duration of the effect after the procedure is on average one year, this may vary depending on various individual factors and lifestyle.

Before and after treatment

Before treatment:

We recommend that you arrive at the clinic approximately 15 minutes before the scheduled time, in order to have the necessary time to fill in the consents and personal data if you are visiting us for the first time.

Please let us know of any changes in your medication or nutritional supplements. We advise you not to drink alcohol the day before your treatment and to stop medications that may predispose you to hematoma, such as Ibuprofen, Naproxen or Aspirin, one week before your treatment, if your GP agrees.

After treatment:

You can immediately cool the treated area. We recommend that you avoid exposure to the sun during the first week and use daily cream with protection factor 50+. Avoid the sauna and intense physical activity for the first two days. Avoid other cosmetic treatments in the treated area during the first week. Do not massage the treated area. Two weeks after the treatment, we would like to see you again for a check-up, which is included in the price of the treatment.

Recovery time:

After treatment you may experience tenderness in the treated area and mild edema. These will subside after about a week.

There is a risk of producing some small hematomas, but after about a week they will disappear.

Result duration:

The final result of the treatment is visible after about one to two weeks. The average duration of effect is approximately 12 months for hyaluronic acid, and that of botulinum toxin is an average of 3 months.
